Great explanation. Thank you. It is removing the resistance and attaining flow. It’s like floating in the sea. You can’t try to float. You take the action of surrendering while positioning and breathing correctly. To be too active achieves nothing. The same with falling asleep. People who try to sleep, cannot fall asleep. A note, Wu Wei still needs to be placed into the larger Daoism worldview, in that the action should be a natural part of the world. Water flows down, it does not fight against the Dao. For example, I can fistfight somebody or drunk drive and reach a "flow state", but that violates the larger flow of the world. The inner effortlessness is only approaching Dao when the action itself is "as it should be".
