from texas and moved to lousiana about two years ago. genuinely fear for my life driving here. in texas we get a bad rep but it's mostly people going fast, they're still paying attention. mfers here do NOT know how to drive and i mean that. the amount of LEFT TURNS ON RED i've seen and just straight up bullshit. yeah ima leave some space so i don't end up in a 50 car pile up that's also somehow how a hit and run because god forbid they have insurance.

because by Louisiana law, if the car behind you hits you, and your car hits another car, you are liable for the damage to the car in front of you even if it was the fault of the guy behind you

ive been here for five years it's always one extreme or the other. they either so far back it doesn't make sense or they are so close to your bumper your questioning whether they hit your car no in between.

in case a full size, 4 door, long bed, daully with a 10 cylinder diesel engine runs into the back of us, we won't hit the vehicle in front of us, that way we don't have to do the multi-car pile up insurance dance that causes months of delays in the appropriate people getting paid for damages.
