The jury in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial continued deliberating about 9:15 a.m. today (Monday, August 31). The jury of nine women and three men deliberated about 3 1/2 hours on Monday and 6 1/2 hours on Friday. They convened in the courtroom this morning with the six alternate jurors before Judge William Sullivan sent them to the jury room. They asked on Friday to see a knife that Clancy used when attempting to kill herself, as well as empty medication bottles found in her home after she strangled 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan on Jan. 24, 2023. The jury has not asked further questions. Sullivan spoke to them in court before they went to the jury room. Sullivan spoke to them in court before they went to the jury room.

The jury has not asked further questions. Sullivan spoke to them in court before they went to the jury room. Sullivan spoke to them in court before they went to the jury room. "Well, good morning, everyone. It's nice to see everyone again. All I'm going to do, I'm going to ask you those questions and then send you right back out," he said. "So the first question: Has any member of the jury read, seen, or overheard anything from any source that would affect your ability to be a fair and impartial juror in this case?" "Next question is: Is there any other serious matter or concern bearing on your service as a juror in this case that anybody needs to bring to my attention?" Jurors apparently answered no to both. "Well, thank you again for following the instructions, and all I'm going to do is ask you to then, at this point, resume your deliberations. Great, thank you," said Sullivan, who presides in Plymouth County Superior Court. Clancy, who recently turned 36, was on maternity leave from her job as a labor and delivery nurse when she killed her children. She is charged with three counts of murder. Jurors can consider manslaughter as a lesser included offense to murder. Her case involves serious mental health issues and could distress people.
