I haven’t played other tcgs outside of ygo and pokemon and I know ygo has its issue but the fact that your graveyard can act as your second main deck is kind of a cool development of the game.

In Yugioh the resources are the cards themselves. Most costs involve going negative in card advantage to activate effects, though they’ve increasing been using paying life as a resource. And some cards have conditions instead of costs, where game or your board has to be in a certain state in order to activate and resolve effect.
