apparently this happened when they were working on Elder Scrolls blades, where you just walked in and went "it just needs more drama" and everyone who worked at Bethesda immediately got on board with that idea and we're all about it but that game was mostly made by contractors who were instantaneously confused by what he possibly could have meant

This is annoyingly common at most studios ive worked at. We had weekly showcases and any time studio heads showed up it went from a "look at my cool thing, feedback please" meeting to a "justify why you spent 3 weeks on this thing" meeting that everyone hates
