During an enternship a nurse said I would never be a health worker because I was too soft and kind, and all that because I insisted on asking them for a painkiller to give a child with fractured leg bone, and I proved her wrong because now all my patients and my comunity love my work and are never afraid to ask for help🥹

my college program made me love the humanity side of medicine. it made me realize, na sa dulo ng lahat, it's not only abt the skills nor the technicalities of being in med--hell, it's not about being glorified or reaping praises--but saving lives. hindi lang sa pamamagitan ng panggagamot pero sa pamamagitan na rin ng pagsusulong ng kamulatan at pantay na karapatan sa health para sa lahat. kung nais mo talagang makatulong, sa public health, magsisimula ka sa ugat ng lahat: decision-makers at mga polisiya sa Pilipinas :")
