@michiganpublic: In Melvindale, police have called immigration enforcement at least 16 times since 2023. In the case described in this video, a sergeant turned someone over after encountering them trying to jump start a truck. The city’s new police chief, Chris Egan, said that sergeant’s actions in that incident are now “under review.” “I want people to feel secure and know that law enforcement isn't going to automatically lead to immigration or deportation,” Egan said. “I don't want [officers] investigating for civil issues or just because someone appears to look a certain way or doesn't speak English.” Find the full story at michiganpublic.org #immigration #deportation #localpolice #federalgovernment @Outlier Media
You know Taylor Police wouldn't have given a shit about the jaywalking if nobody in that group looked Hispanic.

If it's not already on your list to investigate - Zilwaukee police chief called ICE on a group of guys working an infrastructure project in Saginaw Township. All 9 men were taken away. This happened 7/25/26.
