2 questions: 1. I’m constantly told not to give more than 10% of daily calories as treats. But then I’m also supposed to reward while training constantly. These two are contradictory. Help? 2. How do you apply this on a walk where she’s free to sniff but you still don’t want pulling? Please and thank you

What if my puppy gets extremely distracted and does not care about my existence when on lead. Also he has no food motivation and it’s very difficult to find food he cares about. However he has an extremely good recall and always has when at the dog park or off leash trails

My Samoyed was bred for sledding (among other things) and I had done these when he was a pup and through adolescence and now he walks beautifully. It’s my personal flex when people say “oh he walks beautifully on a lead”

what about marking, the only thing my dog does when we go for walks is mark every single spot, that's why he pulls so much. he is a jack Russell Beagle mix so I get that sniffing is important for him
