@ellequii: In my last video I spoke a little bit about my previous job, so I thought I’d do another video talking a bit more about that side of things and how I personally approach training For me, training has never been about getting the most done in the shortest amount of time. It’s about patience and making sure the horse actually understands what you’re asking, rather than just getting any random response. The aim is to refine your aids to the point where they’re almost imperceptible. And you don’t get there by flapping, shouting or constantly asking for more. You get there by asking the right question at the right time, and then giving the horse the time and space to work out the answer I think sometimes we forget just how much horses can learn when we give them the chance to get things right. Kindness doesn’t lower the standard. It gives the horse the confidence and space to reach it #horses #horsetraining #equine #equestrian #horseriding
