@nytimes: A building in Nepal has been nicknamed “the miracle green house” because it remained standing during last week’s disastrous flooding and kept its residents safe.#nepal #flood
one of the videos shows those people joining hands and PRAYING. God saved that family.

It was saying that an ice wall fell into a small lake and that’s what created this massive flood. I don’t understand. Maybe they lied there’s no way all that water came out of that little lake and it was a small lake that they showed.

This is like what happens in a ball mill. The broken rocks turned into "balls" and the "ice" is what was to be ground into fine particles. With frictional heat, fine ice turned into water faster than what one would have imagined. Yungay, Peru, in 1970 was a town buried completely with all it's population by a colossal debris avalanche in a situation similar to this one.

See the arrow mark. Actually, flood speed was reduced due to that small hill. And hence, Green house saved from destroying. Nothing miracle there.
In fact, tick marked house is stronger which endured higher force and speed of flood.

Surprisingly many of these houses are well built, despite the insane calamity of boulders, stones, mud, ice and water hitting them at around 100 mph. Props to the engineers and top grade materials. I watched houses completely disappear from their foundations way uphill across East TN, NC during Helene though most were wooden houses

It is all about global warming and climate change disaster, it is not a simply flood issue! We should stand together ! This is late already 🙏

It got lucky. It just must not have been in the path of anything extremely heavy like building debris or the bridges that got swept away
