it's because the NHS are seriously underfunded by the government

I’m a neuro physio looking to start taking on a few private patients alongside NHS… I just don’t know where to start really

My Husband was quoted 7yrs for an ADHD diagnosis on the NHS. He told them where to shove it, he's lived with it for 58yrs so far I doubt an actual diagnosis is going to change anything for him!

I have been going to private physio most of my adult life with EDS. NHS doesn't compare to it. Privately I get a much better experience, massage included and the exercises given are much more targeted to my needs.

It took me 2 years on the NHS to have a hysterectomy. Once it was removed a biopsy confirmed I had Uterine cancer.

No one’s going quietly - having to pay out of pocket for a service that should be covered by our NI contributions as standard, is something many are screaming about. Its not good enough

Gynaecology. The system is absolutely and utterly abysmal. I went private out of sheer desperation, thankfully turned out to be the best thing I've done. The system is utterly shocking.

I waited nine months for a neuro physio appointment. Five minutes to be told to do yoga off YouTube and was discharged. Now back on the waiting list again.

Why are people even paying their taxes to nhs. It takes ages for appointment

Maybe because the people working in the private sector are also working for the NHS, and prioritise the private patient.

I saw an nhs physio because pains and aches were getting worse, he was dismissive because my symptoms weren't severe enough. Now I'm in a terrible state and it could've been prevented of I'd had the right help when I was able to do the exercises needed. I see a private one now and she's fab. Also, being able to choose who you see, the same with therapy.

I went private as I was so desperate. I couldn’t hold down a job or see a way forward. Private treatment saved my life

Colorectal Surgery is 2 years. I paid £250 to see private and he transferred me to his NHS list and was operated on within 3 weeks. Best £250 ever spent. I had been severely suffering for 2 years. I’m in Dorset though so might be different elsewhere. Hugs to anyone suffering ❤️

I see an osteopath privately because I couldn’t move and was told the nhs wait to see physio was 10 weeks. When I did see physio they were useless. They refuse to do any manual therapy even when that will help things get better quicker

I've literally just purchased a private full thyroid test because the NHS refused to check mine beyond TSH, my level was only just within the top of the range, regardless of my ongoing symptoms that all point towards a thyroid issue, I was told I was fine. We should be compensated if we end up having to pay for our own tests just to prove we are actually unwell
