@whitetailhill: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” -Hebrews 13:8 Yesterday and today and forever. The Jesus who walked the earth two thousand years ago, who performed miracles, who went to the cross and came back out of the tomb, that is the same Jesus you are in relationship with right now. Nothing lost, nothing changed. The world moves fast and a lot of what we count on has a way of shifting over time. But there is something really grounding about knowing that in the middle of all of it, Jesus is exactly who he has always been. Same character, same love, same faithfulness, same power. Time outdoors has a way of reminding you of this. Whether you're sitting in a stand waiting on first light or putting in work on the land, there's a connection you feel out there that's hard to put into words. You are standing in the middle of what he made, and the God who made it hasn't changed one bit since he did. Prayer: Lord, when the world feels uncertain, help us to remember that Jesus is the same today as he has always been and always will be. Amen.
