@legitalgorithmswithpeter: Fine-Tuning vs LoRA vs QLoRA 🤖 How do companies customize AI models with billions of parameters without setting their GPU budget on fire? 🔥 🧠 Full Fine-Tuning → Updates the entire model. Powerful, but extremely expensive. ⚡ LoRA → Keeps the base model frozen and trains small adapter layers instead. Less memory, faster training, and much cheaper. 🗜️ QLoRA → Takes LoRA further by loading the frozen model in a quantized format, typically 4-bit, making large-model fine-tuning far more memory efficient. The simple way to remember it: Fine-Tuning = Change the whole model LoRA = Train small adapters QLoRA = LoRA + compressed base model And here’s the important part: Fine-tuning is not a replacement for RAG. Use fine-tuning to change behavior. Use RAG when your model needs access to fresh, changing information. So… are companies actually improving their AI with fine-tuning, or just burning GPU money on problems that RAG could solve? 👀 #FineTuning #LoRA #QLoRA #LLMEngineering #GenerativeAI

before you can finish fine tuning, there is a significantly better base model(s) that just released

Not a single company has made a useful model with fine tuning

I remember training stable diffusion with samples of my pictures using lora back in the day. While i have no idea wtf is happening or what I’m doing 🤣 good thing i saw this video to understand.

Dont fine-tune. It makes no fucking sense with the rate of iteration the models have. Just RAG and use a decent in-the-middle prompt builder between the user and the model

What to do if they want a ChatGPT for only data of the company, but is millions of data

This is real AI education. Not “gEn Ai” education channels that are just prompt engineering tricks

qlora nl4 is actually excellent for balancing quantization, memory efficiency and precision without significant trade offs.
