September is su!cide prevention month and it’s probably one of the things that will always feel close to me. For years this word has been in my life both because i risked losing some people i care about to it, but also because i risked losing myself, this is why i would like to tell you to check on those close to you, as the hardest battles aren’t always visible and just knowing you have someone who’s willing to help can change so much for a person, but also check up on yourself, be attentive to the way you’re feeling, even when you think your feelings aren’t “bad enough”. Don’t wait to hit the rock bottom to ask for help and don’t think it’s something you can manage alone even if you feel able to live with it. If you’re reading this while struggling remember that there are people who would rather know you’re struggling than lose you without ever knowing. I’m now 18yo, which is an age i probably never expected to experience, but than lose you without ever knowing.
