Thanks for educating us.. I grew up in El Salvador, but I have never heard that phrase. However, I know my some of my people are racist and colorist. I remember my grandma saying very racist things about black people. 😔 I am glad I didn't learn her racism!

I was born in ES, my parents are both from ES….. my family carries sickle cell. I moved to the US when I was 3 y/o. I was always looked at by healthcare workers very surprised that I carried sickle cell. I’m an adult now and I’ve told my family, you realize that genetics don’t lie
