@naahlulali: UPDATE: ADOPTED ❤️ 🚨‼️ EUTHANASIA DEADLINE 5pm TODAY 9/2‼️🚨 📍INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA 🚨MAMA COCO needs a hero by 5pm 9/2 - Available to adopt, foster or be pulled by a Rescue 🚨 ❗️I do not work at the shelter. Animals being euthanized for kennel space breaks my heart so I do everything I can to make sure it doesn’t happen. I foster at risk/euth listed dogs & cats to keep them safe, post the other at risk animals in the shelter & help coordinate rescue so we can save as many as possible ❤️ ─────── 🩷 Mama Coco, A2833990 📍 Indianapolis Animal Care Services Shelter Address: 5001 E Raymond Street, Indianapolis, IN ─────── Here’s what her friends say…. “Coco and I have played and interacted a handful of times and i have never experienced these behaviors 🤷‍♀️ she loves belly rubs and walks. She is very playful and gave me lots of kisses.” “Mamma Coco may be a 9 year old senior, but she didn't get the memo! Lol” “This lovely little lady loves to play! “ “Her wonderful personality and adorable looks will keep you smiling! And, she adores a nice belly rub!” ─────── Staff notes & info from the Indianapolis Animal Care Services Trello page: Breed: Pit bull Sex: Spayed Female Weight: 60 lbs. Age: 9 years old Heartworm: Negative Experienced with Dogs: Unknown Experienced with Cats: Unknown Experienced with Kids: Unknown Available for Rescue: Yes Available for Adoption: Yes Available for IACS Foster: Yes Mama Coco is seeking rescue placement and must find placement by 5pm on 8/28, Due to medical concerns. She has been noted to have some abnormal breathing sounds; she has had radiographs, DVM notes say, “Abnormalities seen and appear to be possible thyroid cartilage.” She was also with us back in 2018 with similar notes about loud breathing sounds. As we understand it her, thyroid cartilage is thick causing her airway to be smaller than normal. It is worse when she is sleeping and causes her to sleep with her mouth wide open, due to having a harder time breathing. She has been noted multiple times recently to become fixated on shoes while out with staff or volunteers, she is biting at them, but it is usually easy to get her redirected. It has also been noted each time she has been with us that she is friendly and high energy and also experienced kennel stress when she was here years ago. We would love to get this older lady out of the shelter and into a permanent home for the rest of her days. ─────── 📍Location: Indianapolis Animal Care Services Shelter Address: 5001 E Raymond St Indianapolis, IN 46205 Adoptions: [email protected] Rescues: [email protected] PLEASE MESSAGE ME OR GO TO THE SHELTER IN PERSON IF YOU CAN HELP YOU ARE UNLIKELY TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM THE SHELTER VIA PHONE OR EMAIL The shelter is open daily from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm ⟡ No appointment is required ⟡ Animals shown until 6:30 pm ⟡ Euthanasia Deadline animals need placement by 5pm to be guaranteed safe A government-issued photo ID is required to walk through the kennels and to adopt. ❤️‍🩹
