Had the opposite of this happen to me once. I own a commercial construction company, but I turned up to a job without my uniform on, so the customer had no idea who I actually was. He spent a good five minutes slating my company and my staff, capped it off by claiming one of my engineers had stolen his appliance manuals. I've known that engineer for over ten years, there's no way it happened. I just let him talk. At the end of his rant he says, "You may have heard of them, it's *insert business name*." The look on his face when I said, "Yeah, that's my company." He went white.

Moving to Perth :

My parents did this when looking at houses years ago we were waiting for the estate agent to turn up and show us the house and I’ll never forget this other couple turned up (he worked with my dad) mum thought they were waiting to view the house too and she said it’s very dark and cramped on this street ( they turn around and said we are the neighbours) my mum just wanted the ground to swallow her up! 🤦‍♂️🤣 Shit happens I also forgot to end my call on my my mobile years ago and was slagging one of our tenants off only to hear out the phone. ‘I can hear that’ 🤣🤣🤣 Took at least a box of chocolates and a nice wine for her to calm down! (understandably!) 🙃🤣
