I worked at Abercrombie for years and the black jeans always run about one size smaller because the black dye makes the fabric much more rigid even the same cut and fabric the black dye makes them run small

As someone who works at a mall, sometimes the darker the color the tighter clothes are gonna be. The dark pigment can change the density of the fabric to the point of taking a bigger size🙃

I don’t think you want the XXL in the sweater. Sweaters can tend to “bag-out.” I think the fit now is great! My first thought was that it was too big. So if a loose fit is what you want - keep the XL. Looks great! ❤️
