Try to look at the questions objectively. Most of the time, the answer isn’t based on your opinion. The law doesn’t care about our opinions, unfortunately lol. Read the question quickly, figure out what it’s actually asking, pick the best answer, and move on. Time can be a major issue, so practice under the actual time limits. I took the LSAT twice, got a 159 the first time and a 168 the second, and honestly didn’t study either time. I think the improvement was mostly because the second time I knew the environment, pacing, and what to expect.

Attorney - it’s a dumb test. Whenever multiple answers seem possible think about it as “best of the worst” or “best of the best” also when stuck between 2 answers argue the answers to yourself. Come up with reasons why one could be challenged or wrong (usually there will be one you can’t argue or the argument is weaker). After that, pray you get the score you need cause the test irrelevant outside of admissions. Good luck!

Always read the questions first and assume nothing. If it is not in black and white text do not bring any outside inferences into your mind. If it goes on talking about little girls running in pastel dresses holding baskets, church bells ringing, and a person wearing bunny ears do not infer that it is Easter, or even a Sunday based on your prior knowledge of Easter time… only look at the logical inferences you can make based solely on the information provided. It makes you challenge your preconceived expectations of any given situation.

Check the LSAT sub on Reddit! A lot of people who made great scores on it talk about what they did to prepare. I think most of them paid for some practice questions or something? There’s a specific one. They say what to do/what not to do. It’s r/LSAT on Reddit

Take your opinion out. Look at it as “What did you take out the passage that could most help your case?” What did you get out of this passage that helps your cause the most? Not with what you personally agree.

When you answer these types of questions, sometimes it helpful to realize you’re not picking the correct answer, you’re picking the least wrong. I know it sounds crazy, but follow this flow: 1) read question stem, 2) read question, 3) read the answers, 4) cross out what is obviously wrong (it’ll usually be 2 answers), 5) pick the least wrong out of the remaining options.

This is why I always did horrible on tests. I would ace essay tests because it allows for you to explain your reasoning but multiple choice, nope! Sorry I’m not helpful but you’re not alone.

maybe that's the point. I mean I'm no law student but in litigation diction, enunciation, articulation, and overall elocution in arguing cases by citing past cases was similar arguments leading to a similar outcome as what's desired three words can make a huge difference probably. I'm just spitballing here but

My biggest piece of advice- take a LSAT prep course! I wish I had. I did okay on it, but I know I would have gotten a better score if I had taken a course like I did before the bar exam. Also, you will do well, but you’re NOT going to walk out feeling like you did well. It’s just not designed that way.

You’ll find that most LSAT questions have a very specific formula — if you see x word in the question, you need to find an answer that is phrased like y. It’s annoyingly very little to do with intelligence and more about memorizing the rules and applying them.
