Confederate didn’t own nearly as many slaves as the north, and if they did they freed them after the a few years of work, granting them housing on their own land. The north turned slavery into advanced slavery. Hence why the north is pursued as good in history books

my dad's side of our family is all from northern Virginia, one day it was organized for us to go visit a lot of the graves for our Confederate ancestors, one of them even had a statue in his honor

used to go to a school named after lee, they changed the name because it was “racist”. they changed it from lee the man who freed all his slaves after the war and only had any to begin with through inheritance, and changed the name to name the school after the town (the town being named after an EVEN WORSE racist who kidnapped free black people and enslaved them and tortured her slaves)

The civil war had nothing to do with abolishing slavery early in the war it was just states rights. They decided to abolish so other country’s wouldn’t try to take the confederates side and go after a weak America most other country’s abolished slavery already and they woulda got a lot of hate for going after a Country trying to abolish slavery.
