No.. Soca is a genre and Bouyon is a SUB-GENRE of Soca.. just like you have ROCK music as a genre, then under that heading you have punk rock, heavy metal, classic rock etc.. if those bouyon artists were up for any awards they would categorise them as soca, because bouyon it’s not recognise as a genre, even when they upload their music to iTunes and Spotify, they have to select soca & calypso the Genre
