Alcohol killed my childhood. My whole family were alcoholics. All of them died young. I'm only 45 years old, no family left. Because of the alcohol I have a lonely adult life too. I don't drink alcohol but because of trauma I cannot be around drunk people too. Alcohol destroyed my life without using it myself😔 I also have to live with CPTSD and ADHD.

I grew up in the 50s seeing my parents smiling day to day but only laughing after a Manhattan or martini. Until I started drinking in college in the 60s, I didn’t realize that I mistook giddiness and lack of inhibitions for happiness.
