My dad is adopted, and my mom doesn’t know her bio dad. I’ve been scared of the not knowing for so long. So I feel this girl. 🫶🏼🫂

My dad is adopted too but he has no desire to talk to or know about his biological parents. But for me and my sister we’re like… “well we want to know the health history from your biological side”. But this just puts it more into my mind that I really need to try and figure it out for my sake at least!

My dad was also adopted. At 21 I had my first miscarriage and the doc I had at the time wanted to figure out why it happened and was suspected ENDO. During surgery found 2 additional weird spots with my ENDO. Thought it was cancer. Thankfully not cancer. But made my dad end up doing 23&me to find out his genetics and family. Worst decision ever the family themselves are horrible people and now we cannot get rid of them. All alcoholics and divorced. My dad is also an alcoholic.

My mom found out last year that the dad she grew up with isn’t her bio dad so now who knows my family history!

We didn’t know that there are three genetic clotting disorders on my mom’s side of the family until I ended up in the ER with blood clots in my lungs last year after switching my birth control. Now all the women have been tested and they all have at least one of the three clotting disorders that I have. No one else had ever had a problem until lucky me 🥴 if some did know they never said anything at least!

Yeah, my partner was adopted and we just had a baby girl. We don’t know his biological parent’s medical history and that’s something I definitely think about.

I’m adopted and the only thing I know about my bio mom was that she had endometriosis and fibrosis- I now have PCOS and the same issue

I think also back then they all didn’t want to talk about it. Like my family they always pushed it under the rug or simply wouldn’t go to the doctor to find out.
