This case has SERIOUSLY changed the way I see/respect a LOT of women. Mental health is never EVER an excuse to murder children. No matter the context. And misinformation people clearly believe about postpartum. They genuinely believe it’s “worse” than any other psychosis triggered by anything else. ITS. NOT. Psychosis is psychosis no matter what it’s triggered by. And only 0.33% of people experience psychosis commit violent crimes like this. We don’t need a ticking time bomb free in society, she already showed her darkest shade of color, she’s shown what she’s capable of when in a mental health crisis. What happens if she’s freed and 10 years from now a depressive episode left untreated again triggers another episode of psychosis and she does something AGAIN to someone else? Eff that. Lock her up and throw away the key. You women standing with her have set back the women’s rights advocacy so far. It makes me sick.

Guy killed his kids in a schizophrenic break. Took 2 hours to deliberate and the verdict was the death penalty. Just because you have thoughts of killing your life doesn’t mean do it. She is guilty and should be put to death.

Regardless of guilt, this case is a huge red flag for how bad the mental healthcare system is for women. So many circumstances like this could have possibly been prevented if they were taken seriously, and not just written off for being anxious or depressed or hormonal...

It means they can’t come to a decision which just in my opinion should mean they didn’t prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt after 5 days and two deadlocks.

If the jury stays deadlocked, the judge can declare a mistrial. That does NOT mean Lindsay is found guilty or innocent. The Commonwealth could retry her with a new jury. BUT the defense can also pursue a Rule 25 motion arguing the evidence wasn’t legally sufficient to support a conviction. If the judge grants that, Lindsay would be found not guilty and the case would be over. So a hung jury doesn’t automatically mean she walks, but it also doesn’t automatically mean there will be another trial. A few different things can happen from there. The good news, the investigation doesn’t stop and Patrick could very well be investigated to clear up everything that makes zero sense.
