“Jack the engine up” there is ZERO reason to have to do all that just to get a alternator off.. it should be a simple 1 hour job MAX

just put a jack under the engine and remove the motor mount and raise the engine up until you can get the bolt out 37 years as a mechanic and this is what I do

You should see how the 2007 Ford fusion alternator comes out. And the starter. This turning engines in sideways about as stupid as shit. For small cars put the engines back in the correct way. 😂😂

As much as this sucks it’s engineered like that so it doesn’t fall out and cause more expensive issues. Remove upper and lower motor mount on that side and jack up the motor. Use a piece of wood between the oil pan and jack to prevent damage
