I feel like Orphie, and Seed were the start of the downfall of ZZZ designs. So many questionable design choices, like Lucia’s redesign (not the beta one), or Seed’s too over the nose feish approach unlike Grace.

a lot of people are saying we shouldn’t have guessed what her personality is like based on a 5-second clip, to which i’m arguing that’s why that 5 second clip SHOULD convey the characters personality. the other character in that same trailer had their exact personalties shown just fine, so why not orphie?

I'm still not forgiving them for the Seed bait and switch. 90% of any mention/reference to Seed before a full reveal was a tall robot construct with 0 mention of pilot shenanigans. Then it's revealed that Seed is actually the pilot and Seed Sr. is a dead husk that isn't present for majority of Seed's gameplay

Orphie can be serious at times during the story but I think with how domineering Magus is it makes more sense for her to be meeker or softer from a character dynamics POV. Someone arguing with their sentient tail could be funny once or twice but I don't think it would've worked for Magus's story even with Orphie being a clone of her physically

Thats why I was so upset with Seed’s character. I thought we were getting a sick mecha guy, only for a feet wiggling girl to be piloting him and then they also killed him!! And shes nowhere to be found in the initial teaser, iirc. It felt like a bait and switch

People saying she should’ve been serious are funny ngl. The scene in the trailer is literally a scene in game when she’s approaching Isolde at the end of the 2.2 story. She has serious moments. The entire last half of the story she’s completely serious and acts like a calming presence for Magus crashing out. She also can be goofy. Every character in zzz is like this. It’s not like she’s always cowardly and crying. All these comments I swear people have not played the game. No character in zzz always acts one way all the time. It’d be boring as fuck if she was just serious all the time.

If you really think about it. Obol Squad is really a "special squad", we got a blind (Trigger), 2 clones (Orphie & Mag, Soldier 11), 3 if u count Anby and an amputee (Seed)
