Maybe im letting my mind wonder go far BUT if it was a retrial could defence go in with a new defence strategy like introducing Patrick as a suspect ?

Not sure how they would be able to find unbiased jurors at this point

If they do a new jury, the odds the new jury hasn’t seen stuff on social media is super low.

How hard will it be for a retrial since it was so high profile how are you going to find a jury of people who weren’t aware of this case

I think they can change prosecutors and not recall certain witnesses or experts. A mistrial greatly favors the prosecution

I really hope they don’t take a plea. Someone needs to do a better investigation to better understand or come closer to understanding what ACTUALLY transpired. Bc all I know is hear say and a bunch of untested evidence.

Good luck getting a new jury pool that is unbiased and hasn’t heard details of the case

do they have a limit to how many days they can deliberate or how many times they can not agree?

If they get a mistrial will the judge ask them to each make their stance? Like they’ll have to publicly announce what they voted?

When the inevitable mistrial happens, they need to go into the retrial without stipulating a single thing. That seems to be where a lot of the confusion lies.

I think it will depend on the jury polling. For example, if 10 jurors wanted to find her guilty, they will retry and not offer any plea deal.
