@theworldofsniperj: Anime Series: Megalo Box (2018–2021) Song: Tread With The Wind by Sniper J Megalo Box (2018–2021) is TMS Entertainment’s gritty, cyberpunk sports anime created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ashita no Joe. Set in a desolate, sun-bleached future, the story follows Junk Dog—an underground fighter who adopts the alias "Gearless" Joe—as he attempts to fight his way from dirty, unranked ring matches into Megalonia, the world’s most elite boxing tournament. While his opponents wear heavy, high-tech exoskeletons to amplify their punches, Joe enters the ring stripped of gear, relying purely on speed, stamina, footwork, and instinct. The narrative heart of the series centers on moving unburdened through heavy opposition: dodging devastating blows by a hair’s breadth, staying light on your feet when the odds are stacked against you, and carrying a relentless forward rhythm through every round.
