@braidsbytinka: I’ve seen quite a few comments saying that you can’t be a braider while also being a mother, and honestly, I don’t understand that perspective.Yes, my baby is with me while I work. He is only two years old, and I am comfortable caring for him in my own home while providing my services. I’m not going to place my child in daycare simply to meet someone else’s expectations. Daycare can range anywhere from $100–$150+ a week, and for me, I am choosing what works best for my family. If having my child present while I work isn’t something you’re comfortable with, that is completely okay. You are never obligated to book with me, and I respect everyone’s personal preferences. But I will continue to be both a mother and a braider, and I’m proud of being able to do both.My clients leave on time, and many times, they’re even finished earlier than expected. I take pride in respecting my clients’ time and providing them with a comfortable experience.At the end of the day, I’m still learning and growing. I’ve only been braiding for about a year, and I don’t do this because I have to I do it because I genuinely enjoy braiding. I love creating, I love seeing my clients happy, and I’m grateful that I get to do something I enjoy while also being present for my child.
