@biney.amp1: Brian Moser, also known as Rudy Cooper and the Ice Truck Killer, is a major antagonist in the Dexter franchise. He is Dexter Morgan’s biological older brother and the son of Joe Driscoll and Laura Moser. As a child, Brian experienced severe trauma alongside Dexter when their mother was murdered. Unlike Dexter, Brian was separated from his brother and spent much of his childhood in institutions. This trauma had a major influence on his later personality and behavior. As an adult, Brian created the identity Rudy Cooper and worked as a prosthetist. He secretly became the serial killer known as the Ice Truck Killer. His crimes eventually attracted Dexter's attention, although Dexter initially did not know that the killer was his own brother. Brian is intelligent, manipulative, confident, and very good at hiding his true identity. He became romantically involved with Debra Morgan while secretly using the relationship to get closer to Dexter. His ultimate goal was to reunite with Dexter and convince him to abandon Harry Morgan's rules. Brian's story reaches its climax in the first-season finale, when Dexter discovers his true identity. Dexter ultimately chooses Debra's safety over Brian and kills him. In short: Brian Moser is essentially a darker counterpart to Dexter—both brothers were shaped by the same childhood trauma, but they developed very differently.
