Their dog will not get put down. Especially since you did not file a police report. As for the bill take it to your neighbor with printed pictures of your dogs wounds and have them pay for it, in hopes they do.

I would speak to the owners and make sure the other dog is up to date on vaccines and they should pay the vet bills. Thank goodness that nothing happened to Charlotte, being in a stroller at dog level…the owners need to be responsible for their dog, bottom line. I’m so sorry this happened, it’s so scary! I have 2 German shepherds and had a dog attack one of them, it terrified me. I’m so glad you are all ok 🩷

Poor puck.. I agree the order should be responsible. I would go talk to the owners and tell them hey you don’t want the dog to be put down, but you think they should pay for the vet.

Aw poor baby yes absolutely they should reimburse you trust me we have spent many times at that exact vet it’s $250 just to walk through the door with no care 😫 but I would also make sure they are up to date on shots etc the vet has it documented get all the records and present it to them first and if they don’t cooperate then unfortunately you’re gonna have to call animal control

Dog trainer here, please please always bring Citronelle spray with you in order to stop fights. I understand the adrenaline is going, but even water can help escalate it. Please also reach out to the owner with concerns and proof of bites. The dog will most likely not get put down since it wasn’t a human.

This happened to me last year. I wrote a note to the owners, put it in their mailbox and asked they pay the vet bills. They did and apologized. I would tell them because they need to know so it doesn’t happen again

Poor Puck!! If the other dog is outside all the time, I suspect they won’t help or care if you report it. Sometimes people are just awful and don’t deserve dogs

approach them and explain what happened, say you dont want the dog put down you just want the medical bills covered but if theyre being hostile, honeslty just walk away. good thing puck is ok and all 3 of you are ok.
