I’d actually had it on my watchlist for a while, and it turned out to be so good😭 It’s literally the definition of "she fell first, but he fell harder." It gives off the exact same bittersweet vibes as A Walk to Remember, especially with the night aesthetic, the music, and their late-night dates that make everything feel so cozy yet melancholic. Even though both movies are super sad, they didn't quite push me to tears the way Me Before You or One Day did. Maybe it comes down to the subtle differences in how the actors delivered their emotions? Watching Midnight Sun just gave me that heavy ache in my chest without actually making me cry.
