No cosmetic or cleaning product sold in the uk has been tested on animals. Yes, parent companies may do, but the products themselves are made up of entirely separate ingredients and products on uk shelves will not have been tested on animals

Also for some random reason some brands are vegan but not cruelty free!

Aldi, Sainsbury's and Morrisons are all cruelty free! If you have any of them near you ✨

You’re right it is a big deal! I think also when brands pockets were affected they would then also change to cruelty free..

Yess this is such a struggle as a vegan! It's so tough finding vegan AND cruelty free household products, but once you start changing some of your habits you just keep going :)

i like to make sure my beauty products and skincare etc aren’t tested on animals but suppose hypothetically that some were to accidentally fall on a dog? what then? something to think about x

Store brands are usually cruelty free for anybody who is curious. For instance, "washing up liquid by Sainsbury's (the brand)". Yes, gbey actually have their own product range Just look for the leaping bunny logo which is a logo of a bunny rabbit that symbolises it is.cruelty free🖤🐇

I think a lot of people just don't realise how much stuff is not cruelty free and what that testing actually involves. don't beat yourself up about what you were doing a year ago before you knew, it's all about supporting the kind alternatives where they exist going forward

As others have said Sainsbury’s have a great own brand range, I think it’s called GreenCare all smells lovely too!

Not directly related but, if you ever struggle with finding cruelty free toiletries, Superdrug own brand stuff is really good. 👌

Definitely not a hypocrite for learning and changing your mind! I’ve been vegan for nearly 9 years but the vast majority of my life was spend consuming animal products! Now I know better and I do better 🙌🏻 I completely agree though, it is tough to find brands that are cruelty free! It’s the worst when brands go from being cruelty free to testing on animals 💔

This is why I'd never will become a vegan, I'd have to look at everything and the ingredients in stuff, that'll be such a pain in the bum for me lol

this is such a good topic as a new vegan! I find it hard to find cruelty free products when I’m shopping every week for household stuff! I can’t believe how many support abuse 🥲

Depends your view on it but also be careful with parent companies as lots of CF brands have NCF parents unfortunately 😪

I would recommend shopping in Sainsbury’s I find they have lots more options for cruelty free and vegan household products!! There are also brands like what the crap which do vegan toilet paper where you can have a subscription type thing which might be easier than having to search in all the supermarkets:)
