I remember seeing the Kingdom Hearts 1 commercial and hearing simple and clean while seeing Sora, Donald, and goofy getting ready to face Cerberus and then Tarzan... and then genie... I begged my parents almost immediately within seeing that and then included it on every Christmas list and letter I made. I remember being stuck on Destiny islands because my TV brightness was so low i couldn't see when the heartless invaded haha I remember finally finding my way through the cave and going to traverse town and finally getting Donald and goofy and access to my journey. I remember exploring each world, never skipping a fight, and spending hours searching for Riku, Kairi, and King Mickey. I could go on and on, I could tell you about how emotional I got when the orchestra for don't think twice played in kh4 and I could tell you about when I beat 358/2 days at 3 am in an airport on our family vacation and was doing my best to keep it together after losing Xion. But to put it simply and cleanly, Kingdom Hearts had a lasting impact on me and I'm glad for that

I cannot explain what made me connect to these games so much (I didn’t even play the first game for 4 years after release) but they make me feel so much.
