Please ask them to get rid of the additional 3% interest charge as you start to earn more. It turns the whole thing into a predatory loan and discourages earning more. Plus most people don’t even know about it!

I just saw someone do a budget with me video who was paying £154 a month on his student loan - we have the same salary yet I’m paying almost £300 - plan 2 is an absolute joke

I honestly think they need to just say we’re wiping debt from the plan 1 &3 plans and we’re rebuilding the ethically bling with finance regulations . I remember been told it was interest free , I was a 19 year old from a council estate with barely any financial knowledge back then, it’s worse then the PPI scandal, it’s a lifetime of debt around your neck for wanting to do better for yourself

there should be bo treshold (but it should be paused for those out of work), it should not be written off after years, but interest should be fair. because right now the 9% also include payments for those who don't pay and also for the amounts that are written off.

Fix Plan 2 Student Loans :
I think my username speaks for itself. I don't give a hoot about the interest rates now, it's too late. Let's do a drop from 9% to 5% for payments OR a minimum threshold of £35k.

The mainstream parties are going to do nothing about student loans. It’s not in their interests to do so. You need to convince the Green Party or a new independent youth party to come out and say they will abolish all student loans and make boomers pay for it by making inheritance tax at 50% for everyone. Then you will get some attention.
