i dont actually think the bigger dog is the problem here😬 if you watch the other interactions your dog doesnt seem to like its back end being sniffed when the dogs approach it skips back/turns away/freezers its back end up and turns its body not allowing the interaction and in dog language bum sniffing is so important and they use that as information gathering, your dog isnt allowing that interaction but your dog then in the video proceds to go and sniffs the other dogs back end and dogs see that as impolite and socially awkward the smaller dog actually the first to snap also. i personally think the bigger dog was correcting your dog saying hey you cant expect not to let me smell you but you can be pushy smelling me

I don’t let my dogs meet other dogs while they’re on leash. Leashes can create so much tension and I’d rather avoid an unnecessary interaction. If they meet another dog. I prefer a controlled off leash introduction when it’s safe and appropriate and even then. I keep it short and don’t let them stay together for too long. Not every dog needs to say hi to every dog they see. 🫶🏼🐾

id just not let my dog approach random dogs, you have no idea their temperament, and it's just dangerous to put you're dog in that situation, especially with it's size it can get hurt.

I rarely let my teacup chihuahua say hello to other dogs because he's so small I have had other dogs pounce on him before, and their owners did nothing. 🐕💗

Since your doggy is so teeny tiny, I would definitely recommend the 3 second rule when meeting random dogs: Let sniff for 3 seconds then remove. It gives the dogs the time to sniff out all the information about one another, but also prevents escalation if one of the dogs is aggressive, reactive or scared 🐾💛

I definitely think don’t allow your dog to approach dogs when their owners are distracted/on their phones. There’s a first time for everything and you don’t know what’s going on with other people’s dogs or their owners. Especially for the sake of content.

If you haven’t had her spayed then maybe think about it. Because of her size and weight she is prime for breeding and I just worry that she might be targeted. People used to pick up my dog and check her stomach straight away. Please be careful xxx
