Nickos sandwiches is one of the very few hyped LA food spots that genuinely lives up to the hype. $18 for a massive sandwich cut and wrapped into two pieces. you can have half of a sandwich which is big and filling enough to be a full meal and save the half for later but it’s so good you end up eating the second half ten minutes later 😩

Yeah Barbari is a traditional Persian bread and they look like this usually! Super crispy and delicious. In Iran we mostly eat this bread for breakfast, in small bites with a little bit of melted butter and Persian cheese in the middle! Sometimes cheese and walnut. Sometimes cream and honey mixed together. And we always drink sweetened warm tea with it and it's 😙🤌
