I usually hold back on believing theories like this but the second he said tigger I was sold, and then the "THEY'RE BLACK" Lord Jesus help us.

Wouldn’t it be the opposite because he later loves and accepts tigger as being different?

Old cartoons were very racist, makes sense given the times and the people who owned the company. Disneys catalog has some

When I first learned about slurs and black history when I was young enough be watching winnie the pooh, I did NOT like the spelling of tiger, to the point I just don’t want to spell it right. Unfortunately, I was not educated enough to see the rest of the racist implications surrounding tiger. Now I am.

I think it’s weird how people don’t believe cartoons made in a racist era can’t have subliminal racism. At the end of the day Winnie the Pooh is about being friends with any and everyone and is overall a positive message about unity, however, critiquing the obvious biases an artist has while making art should always happen to learn from mistakes even if the intention isn’t to be problematic. Same way how you can put your all into a paper or video and someone will critique it. Is that person wrong for pointing out shortcomings or should you use it as a learning experience and get better at your craft?

Isn’t the hephulump storyline specifically about not fearing others/combating racism since Pooh and friends eventually became friends?
