To be clear, I have no issue with affiliate marketing, especially when it’s disclosed. The problem is when a creator presents something as an independent recommendation while quietly earning money if you sign up. At that point, their incentive isn’t necessarily to determine whether the tool actually works for most people. It’s to show that the tool technically does what it promises. They’re unlikely to tell you, for example, that the marketplace has very few paying customers or that they couldn’t make meaningful money using it themselves. That information could kill the conversion and their commission. This incentive exists with almost every affiliate product. The difference is transparency. Even if a company didn’t pay for the video, creators should clearly disclose when they’ll earn money from the outcome. Viewers can then judge the recommendation with the right context. I think clear affiliate disclosure is the minimum here. What do you think?
