@gwrldmediagames: "Showa American Story" is a zombie action RPG set in an alternate 1980s where Japan bought out most of America, built by a Chinese studio riffing on Showa-era pop culture. You play Chigusa Choko, a young woman who revives from the dead in a California overrun by zombies, mutants, and survivors who are arguably worse. Japanese money has swallowed the United States, so the whole country reads as a neon Showa fever dream that has since rotted, and Choko crosses it looking for answers about powers she does not understand yet. Combat is real-time and deliberately ridiculous, mixing swords, firearms, a drill arm, counters, staggers, and finishers. Choko swaps between melee and ranged constantly, and improvised weapons run to beating zombies with an American flag. Minigames and roadside oddities fill the gaps between fights. Developed by NEKCOM Entertainment and published by 4Divinity and 2P Games, it is coming to PC and PS5.
