@an8h0ny: It was the first day of second grade at a school in Wichita, Kansas. Conner Crites, who’s 8 and has autism, got overwhelmed waiting outside with all the noise and kids. He ended up crying in a corner, holding his green lunchbox. Christian Moore, another 8-year-old who didn’t know Conner at all, saw him. He walked over, took his hand, and just stayed with him. When the bell rang, he walked Conner inside the school. Christian’s mom caught it and posted about it. Conner’s mom saw the post and explained her son has autism and gets overwhelmed easily. The two boys ended up becoming friends after that. One kid saw another kid struggling and didn’t walk past.
