I do think that from a theme? Standpoint she’s a great representation of adults who know children are in abusive/ harmful situations but choose not to do anything for their own personal gain

The entire movie is a can be interpreted as an allegory for abuse (grooming, SA, pedophilia, etc..) in relationships and childhood. I believe she represents victims who are in an abusive relationship, who standby when the abuser moves to another victim so they don’t get abused themselves, because they believe if they please the abuser they will stop being abused themselves. It’s so messed up, but these victims have been suffered for so long they would rather throw people under the bus as long as it’s not them . She definitely is terrible and deserved what she got, but not as terrible as Buddy.

I feel like Betty has been around since the beginning and there were four mascots, Bobby the main unicorn and the “boss” than Benny, and Buddy. I actually think Buddy was the least loved out of the two and one day he got jealous and killed Bobby and locked Benny up. He than kept Betty alive because she helped him stay happy and loved. Once Buddy became a monster Betty wasn’t useful to him anymore and he was fed up with her, this would also explain why Buddy was obsessed with the kids being his friend I hope the sequel is a prequel where we see all three brothers together

Hot take: I more see her as the person who knew what's going on but tries to help the other victims but not in a obvious way. (for example with the "he's going to offf wade" line is said to her, she originally said before hand "put the sign up" but after she heard that he's going to off wade, she says "we, better hide, buddy will be here soon") I feel like she kinda helped buddy but because she's making her help to the others not that noticeable

This is just me, but her purple scarf thing looks off... and it kinda reminds me of the green ribbon story, where the ribbon kept the girl's head on. Betty got decapitaded. Maybe this isn't her first time getting her head cut off... 🤔
