That's a bolted on bell housing... $4000 is a scam if that's all you're repairing. I've gotten my entire transmission rebuilt for that price

Sounds like a rip off. I just had my entire transmission swapped used $400.00 and labor $600.00 not all mechanics live to price gouge knowing folks are struggling as is!

Believe it or not, there are mechanics out there who will actually explain what the issue is.. they wont just say condescending shit like the guy in this video. “The inside is now the outside”. Bro its just the housing that needs to be replaced, i’d say thats a $1400 job with a used housing TOPS.
