I couldn’t reach a parent one year and I tried calls and emails…wanted to tell the dad how well his kid was doing. Finally sent a note and he told me via email that he blocked the district emails and calls because it was always negative. 😂 he unblocked and we had good rapport but I always chuckle about that! 😂

Oh my god, I make sure the school has my number and email, the teacher does too and beg them to contact me if there’s any issues because I want to help my child and the teachers to have a good school year! (Also have neurodivergent kids so want to help the relationships between child and school always)

I had a child that would frequently elope from classrooms, physically hurt peers and teachers, have a mouth like a sailor and destroy classrooms. mom accused us of being the problem. well this year that child is in a different school and has already been suspended. mom reached out to me saying "why can't schools handle -----childs name, i dont see any behaviors at home. the school must me doing something to upset my child" (prior to us this child had been at multiple daycares)
