Ivan the Gorilla was there when I was a kid. There's a whole area that still looks how it did when he lived there. As a kid in the 90s the B&I was an entire vibe. It was everyone's photo spot also. We'd go with our friend groups and get insane backgrounds. There was a huge pet store also. I haven't been in a minute and now I gotta go back soon.

Before Covid this whole area was the place to be the clothes the culture al the underground artist would Promote thier shows and sell cds. This place has history.

La Salsa is my favorite Mexican restaurant!! You have to try it. It’s Oaxacan food and it’s the most authentic I’ve had!

Back in the 90's we used to school shop for clothes here. And then when we got our cars we would get our windows tinted by some sketch guys in the back. 😅 It had so many Asian and island shops back then too. Plus Ivan. I haven't been there in years.

Yes it use to be bigger and accross the street it was a drive in cinema that on the weekends was a large indoor and open swap-meet..also ahead of there were the grocery outlet is now,there was another large indoor swap meet.. bck 1998-2019

B&I been the spot since I was a kid! Now I take my kids there, most of the times just to get snacks and walk around lol

I used to ride that Carousel when I was a kid in the 80's/90's. We would see Ivan the gorilla and I had a very traumatizing experience with other monkeys slamming themselves against the plexiglass 😭... Also in the 2000's my friends and I would get super airbrushed portraits together.
