I believe it was George Washington who warned about a 2-party political system. Both sides are so polarized now that they can't meet in the middle for anything and we, the people, are the ones who pay the price. Does anyone really think someone spends 30, 40, or 50 years in government because they love public service that much? The government needs term limits, single item bills, and laws applied to them the same as it does us (to name a few). My wife and I served this nation with pride and honor, but our government is a joke regardless of who's running it.
