I’ve been using that doctor brown’s weighted straw and a squeeze straw cup for introduction. The doctor brown’s—- you can use it upside down. I just find it handy cuz we will chill out on the couch with it (with prune juice or breast milk). It’s kind of like a bottle and that’s why I like it.

At 6 months we tried every single squeeze straw cup, nothing… can’t figure it out! He can eat pouches but not use the straw 😅 he will drink from the open cup but refuses to hold it himself. Broke down and just got the nuk sippy cup and he loves it. He’s 7.5 months now we try the straw a few times a week and still nothing. I’m about to just put it up and try again at 9 months

I went straight to the weighted because I didn’t know it was harder and my son got it first try. He has an OBSESSION with water though. He will chug it if I don’t make him pace himself. He tries to drink the bath water.
