@tennesseewhitney: I share my story in this reel because before cancer, I never thought the symptoms I was experiencing could mean something THIS serious. I hope sharing what happened to me helps even one person recognize a change in their body, ask more questions, or advocate harder for themselves. Early symptoms of Hodgkin’s lymphoma can be easy to dismiss, and everyone’s experience can look different. This month is for the people currently fighting, the survivors figuring out life after treatment, the caregivers, the families, and the people we’ve lost. 💜🎗️🩺 And if something in your body feels wrong, please don’t convince yourself you’re being dramatic. You know your body better than anyone. @American Cancer Soc. #BloodCancerAwarenessMonth #HodgkinsLymphoma #LymphomaAwareness #BloodCancer #CancerSurvivor

Would this show up in a blood test without a scan or could it be missed?

These are the symptoms I’ve been having for months. My labs came back relatively normal besides my platelets were slightly smaller than normal and my blood clotting test showed that my blood took slightly longer than the normal range to clot. Doc said I was fine and sent me home but I KNOW something is wrong

I've had swollen lymph nodes for a while, I've brought it, and my exhaustion, up to multiple doctors. My current primary care doctor told me "maybe you're just lumpy" when I said I had two more hard lumps come up on my neck. About three weeks ago I started, and still have, drenching night sweats. Literally sweating through my pjs, and my sheets, hair is soaking wet when I wake up. I've also had this weird sharp shoulder pain that will last for a few days then disappear, only to come back again at random times. I saw someone comment recently that you could book telehealth appointments specifically to get a referral for radiology, so I booked one for tomorrow. It's so funny that when I noticed a pinprick size spot on my dog's stomach her vet immediately aspirated it. Yet, my doctor thinks the lumps I'm just noticing, are me just being "lumpy" it's a joke

I’m still doing chemotherapy, crazy how similar so many stories are and it seems like so many of us have been or are pregnant

I had all the same symptoms except for the night sweats the itching drove me crazy. Lymphoma is very hard to diagnose because a lot of the symptoms that we have marked up for so many different things. I have non-Hawkins lymphoma B-cell

Thank you so much for this! We caught on a brain mri one swollen node deep in my neck in late June! Fast forward to now, it’s slightly bigger and more lymph nodes around it are getting enlarged. And over this past year my liver enzymes and white count has been high off and on. I have an appointment with head and neck next month to evaluate further!

I am 50 and I will always be getting scans and scopes biopsies . when things are off . Not watching and waiting of course blood work too but that is not enough

It’s sickening that the scans are usually avoided because insurance is a nightmare and docs don’t want to fight for coverage…
