@moviesandstuff14: La Bola Negra IN THEATERS October 16! #NetflixPartner #LaBolaNegra

Oviedo :

El plan is working

soy__serch :

I think La bola negra is the best movie I've seen in recent times. It's pure visual poetry. Every frame is a metaphor, and every single shot is a thing of beauty—perfectly measured, calculated, and crafted to evoke emotion. I honestly believe it's a true masterpiece

Juanito :

The film deals with the Spanish Civil War and one of our greatest poets, Federico García Lorca, who was executed by the Nationalist side. I'm sorry that English speakers can't hear the original soundtrack from the teaser: it's a poem by Federico that one of our greatest flamenco singers, Camarón de la Isla, turned into a song called "La Leyenda del Tiempo" (The Legend of Time). The film is called La Bola Negra (The Black Ball) because of the expression "echar la bola negra" (casting the black ball), which comes from a secret voting method formerly used in casinos and private social clubs. If an applicant received a certain number of black balls from the members, their application was automatically rejected. The film adopts this concept as a central metaphor for the exclusion, rejection, and systematic marginalization suffered by gay men in Spain throughout the different periods portrayed in the film.

Sara Moreno Lopez :

The spanish tráiler has other Music, a choir singing la leyenda del tiempo, camarón, a song from one of his poema. Much better

lena🪸 :

I feel so sorry for non spanish speakers and most importantly for non spanish ppl because the original teaser it’s a masterpiece and the music is the most important thing about it

Woah cinephile drag crossover. The Javi’s are judges on drag race espana. As a Canadian I don’t fully grasp their impact in Spanish queer entertainment but to see their art transcending cultures warms my heart
