@darewithdrea: You worked a normal day. Nothing catastrophic happened. You technically have the whole evening to do other things. So why are you sitting on the couch with absolutely nothing left? This is where I used to turn exhaustion into a character flaw. I should have more energy. I should work out. I should make dinner. I should do something productive instead of wasting my evening. And then I’d feel guilty for being exhausted… and promise myself I’d “do better” tomorrow. But maybe the question isn’t “Why can’t I handle this better?” Maybe it’s “Why do I keep believing I need to justify being tired before I’m allowed to take care of myself?” You don’t have to wait until you’re completely depleted to decide that the way you’re living isn’t sustainable. If you’re functioning on the outside but ending most days with nothing left for yourself, that’s exactly the kind of burnout we talk about here. Follow along if you’re ready to find your way back to actually having a life after the workday ends. #burnoutrecovery #survivalmode #girlmath #highachievingwomen #healing
